Fish and Wildlife Forensic Lab Program

The United States Fish and Wildlife Forensic Lab will present a fascinating program on Tuesday, June 7, from 5:00 ? 6:30 p.m., at the Rogue River Branch Library, 412 East Main Street.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Forensics Laboratory in Ashland is the only lab in the world dedicated to crimes against wildlife. The Forensics Laboratory is very much like a ?typical? police lab, except the victim is an animal. Using a wide range of scientific procedures and instruments, evidence is examined, identified, and compared in the attempt to link suspect, victim, and crime scene with physical evidence.

This fascinating, free program will feature specimens from the lab. Come hear stories about actual cases, the different scientists who work at the lab, and how they solve crimes. Presenters will bring specimens, explain the scientific procedures used, and tell very interesting stories.

For more information, please call the Rogue River Branch Library at 541-864-8850.
